The perfect way to relax - to the soothing smell of lavender. It is good for anxiety, irritability, headache and sleeping problems. In France, lavender is used in the treatment of flu, cough, whooping cough, asthma and bronchitis. Lavender tea can be used as a gargle for painful and inflamed sore throat, and as a tonic for weak and nervy children - it will probably need to be diluted with blackcurrant or apple juice. The flowers can be added to oils for the bath or kitchen.
