HERBS AND REMEDIES FOR
INDIGESTION AND WIND
Chew food slowly until small. Chewing releases indirectly enzymes that aid digestion. Eat sitting down at the table and take your time. Eating is meant to be a pleasure. When you have finished, don't dash off straight away. Wait for your food to go down.
Traditional remedies are fennel, cardamom and peppermint.
Organic Fennel from Floradix
Fennel's pleasant taste makes it a popular remedy for digestive problems. It will improve appetite. It will ease wind and soothe a cough. It may also help to increase breast milk. The diluted tea can be given to young children to relieve colic and teething pain. It is also known to reduce food craving. It can be used as an effective gargle for a sore throat or catarrh.

34.5g - 15 filter bags
FENNEL SEED
Fennel goes well with fish, especially oily ones, such as mackerel. Seeds lend flavouring to stir-fry and rice dishes. An infusion of the seeds (tea) soothes the digestive system - it can relieve a stomach bloated because of wind.
It can also relieve nausea and it is said to increase the production of breast milk in nursing mothers. Also used as a mouthwash for gum disorders and a gargle for sore throats. Drinking fennel tea can have a good effect when dieting.
NOTE: Fennel seeds are thought to encourage menstruation, so should be avoided by pregnant women.
Twinings Nettle & Sweet Fennel
A clean tasting infusion with a hint of sweetness. Carefully balancing the lively taste of nettle with the aromatic liquorice notes of sweet fennel. Nettle is well known for its cleansing detox properties and fennel will help digestion. Perfect after a meal.
